dr Gloria chung-Ahn

Dr. Chung-Ahn is one of the winners at the National Association of Teachers of Singing in 2004 career division competition and 1987 Young Women division Competition. She received honorable awards at the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts. She has performed as soloist and choral member in major works for many performing organizations such as LA master Chorale at Disney Concert Hall with Zubin Mehta and at Hollywood Bowl with Esa Pekka Salonen, 911 Memorial Concert at Royce Hall with Donald Neuen, Korean Christian Chamber Choir, Korean Master Chorale, and Han So Ri Choir. Her repertoire includes such works Magnificat by Bach, Choral Fantasy and Symphony No.9 by Beethoven, Messe Solennelle by Gounod, Messiah by Handel, Missa in Tempore Belli and Third Mass by Haydn Minor Mass and Requiem by Mozart, and Mass in G by Schubert. Her operatic performance highlights Albert Herring by Benjamin Britten and Acis and Galatea by G.F. Handel. She is formal adjunct faculty at Vanguard University School for Professional Studies. She served as the choir conductor for Wilshire UMC in Los Angeles and  music director for Young Angeles Choir. Dr. Chung-Ahn is the director at Dream Tree Community Center and serves community and is an executive director for the Vocielesti Soloist Ensemble. She is the conductor of Vocielesti Children’s Choir and Vocielesti adult Choir. She received her Bachelors and Master’s degree in vocal performance from Manhattan School of Music under the instruction of Natalie Bondanya and Adel Addison. She received Doctorate of Musical Arts degree from UCLA, under the instruction of Professor Michael Dean, department at UCLA.

KYUNG CHY

An avid fan of music, Kyung Chy delved into opera at a young age.
Born in South Korea, she began to hone her skills in the discipline
of opera performance while attending school. She was accepted into the Korean National University of Arts in 1993 as a result of
receiving first place honors in an audition. In 1997, she graduated and earned her bachelor’s degree. She continued her studies in Milano, Italy at the Conservatory of Guisseppe Verdi, entering as the frontrunner and graduating with top honors for voice (1998-2001).  She received a scholarship to the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and finished her master of music degree in 2006. She has been recognized for her outstanding achievements three separate times in international competitions at Bilbao in Spain as well as Sanremo and Lecco in Italy. Performing in carious countries including Japan, Italy, The United States, and Korea, she has exhibited her talent and skill through opera. She has played the parts of Madama Catese in Il  Viaggio Reims (2004), Fiordiligi of Cosi fan tutte and Yerma of Lorca, The Child of the Moon by Ian Krouse (2005) in UCLA. LA Times gave herrave reviews on her performance saying “Kyung Chy’s high notes…[are] the real, sparkling thing!” Recently, she gave a performance for Korean National Assembly members in Seoul, Korea (2006). Also, the Bohemian's Foundation had awarded her with a scholarship for the excellence she displayed in her singing (2006).  Kyung Chy, a dedicated performer, continues to overwhelm audiences with her elegance and presence.

Jung Hwa Tokko

Soprano Ms. Jung Hwa Tokko is an alumni of Seoul National University School of Music and attained her Masters in music from Cal State University Los Angeles. She performed on three occasions as a soloist at the Walt Disney Concert Hall for the Southern California Seoul National University Alumni Choir. Ms. Jung Hwa Tokko was a soloist in the Korean Catholic Church United Choir. She also served as a conductor for the Holy Trinity Korean Catholic Church choir for over 15 years. More recently in 2012, Ms. Jung Hwa Tokko performed in the "Park Insoo
and Friends Concert" at Nachimpan Church in Orange County. She is currently serving as a conductor for St. Basil Catholic Church Korean choir.


Doo Suk Yang

Tenor Doo Suk graduated Chapman University in Orange County. He is currently conducting in Choir and Youth Orchestra at the LA Full Gospel Church in Hollywood, and Music Director at Mission group of GMC. He is also member of the Vocielesti Soloist Ensemble. He performed many solo Oratorios such as Messiah, The Creation, Mass, Beethoven “Missa Solemnis opus 123” and “9 Symphony ”.
